Shiratori Yoshiaki graduated from the Department of Commerce, Meiji University, and completed the 50th class of the NHK Japanese Music Skills Training Association.
He studied Kinko-ryū shakuhachi under Sano Reihi and Min'yō (folk music) shakuhachi under Kominato Akihisa.
Shiratori has performed all over Japan as a member of the Japanese instrument orchestra "Mutuno", the shakuhachi quartet Hatabuku, and the Kotobuki Band.
He has also performed with Mickey Yoshino (Godiego), Mari Shimizu (voice actor), Kenichi Ogata (voice actor), and Marty Friedman (guitarist) and received rave reviews.
He founded the NPO Music Plus One and is serving as a director and works to popularize music mainly in his hometown of Tokatsu, Chiba Prefecture.
He participated in "ARASHI LIVE TOUR 2015 Japonism" and "ARASHI Japonism" show in 2016.
He has appeared on the NHK program Utacon as a member of Ishii Tatsuya's backing band as well as with the Yoshida Brothers at the event commemorating the 40th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Friendship between Japan and China. He appeared in the 69th NHK Kōhaku Uta Gassen in 2018 as a member of Ishikawa Sayuri's backing band.
